If Beethoven had been killed in a plane crash at the age of 22, it would have changed the history of music...and of aviation. -- Tom Stoppard
Music on the web has gotten huge since RealAudio showed up on the scene. We have them to thank for many live concerts, by tons of artists including Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, Jewel, and No Doubt.
I first heard Tori when my aunt sent us a tape of Little Earthquakes just after it first came out. Personally I wish she'd go back to doing more of that, but I still love her music and she's definetly a must-have.
All my thanks goes to my darling red-headed Kristine Brooks who introduced me to Ani just this year... I was missing so much!
I'm running out of great things to say about these people without repeating myself! If you haven't heard of Dar (and especially if you like the previous musicians), you're missing out. There isn't a lot on her out there, but here's what I did find:
I'm not EVEN going to try to compete with those other lists of Dead links...I don't have that sort of server space. Here's one that I found helpful, and the homepage of a friend who spends just a little too much of her time with her records. (Hi KJ!)
Okay, so really I shouldn't be grouping these all together, but there's no other way! The lyrics pages also have links to other artists on them.
I'm sure there are more pages on these guys out there somewhere, but here are what I've found:
yeah, yeah, I know. Everyone has Beatles links and everyone loved 'em. So sue me, I like them too. These are my favorite Beatles pages, along with the obligitory friend's page. (Hi Ksenya!)
Me, I can't play guitar worth anything, and I think I can still remember how to play "chopsticks" on the piano. BUT, I know some of you out there know what all those funny looking marks mean, so here's a few for you:
These people just have WAY too much time on their hands. Good for the rest of us, though, because these are the best collections of just lyrics that I've found anywhere.
